If you would prefer the lightweight stamped disc without the woven charm or vice versa, you can order the stamped disc ONLY, or the woven charm ONLY. Simply select your preference using the ‘product type’ drop down box. Whichever combination you choose, it will always come with a split-ring attached for attaching to your pets collar. I can hand-stamp any words/numbers/some symbols that you choose on the approx 1 inch (2.5 cm) lightweight yet strong aluminium disc. Up to 20 characters will usually fit (message me before ordering if you are unsure). And choose your colours for me to make the attached woven friendship bracelet inspired accessory. Scroll photos to see a chart of available colours and stamping customisation available, and examples of how these turn out. Just write your tag customisation and your chosen colours in the personalisation / ‘note to seller’ box at checkout.
The woven charm with D-ring is approx 2 inches long (5 cm).
The disc is approx 1 inch wide (2.5 cm).
I include rings and clasp so you have options for choosing best length and most practical.
The split ring is strong steel and approx 1/2 inch (1.5 cm) diameter.
The small clasp is 2.5cm – for chunky collar rings often found on larger dog collars ask me for an oversize clasp when ordering.
– I use a water resistant enamel to blacken the indented letters. For cat discs I recommend using the smallest ring to attach the tag close to the collar out of reach of their sandpaper tongues which could abrade the lettering during overzealous grooming! If you ever need to re-blacken the letters, run a permanent marker (for example a sharpie) over the lettering, then straight away wipe the surface with a tissue leaving the black ink in the indented letters.- Aluminium is free from lead and nickel, strong yet thin and lightweight (perfect for smaller dogs), and will not tarnish like brass or other metals.
– I only use hand tools to stamp each number and letter one at a time. It’s not engraved or made by a machine so don’t expect the letters to be perfectly in line or evenly spaced (this adds to the handmade rustic charm!).
– The 100% cotton charm is carefully hand-knotted, strong and fade resistant, ensuring the top quality my CraftyMotMot items are known for.
– The steel D-ring can be removed from the split ring allowing you to wash the cotton by hand with mild soap if it gets dirty.
